The Municipality owns the Flora Zaffaroni Cultural Center, an old house located at 73 Balmaceda street, which was donated by the Guarda-Zaffaroni family for cultural purposes.The center offers a variety of artistic-cultural workshops for training and recreation, such as: basketry in ñocha -herbaceous plant-, guitar, weaving, woodcutting, silkscreen printing, digital photography, painting and integrated arts, among others.

Also itinerant theatrical performances in educational establishments, as well as musical concerts by the Valdivia Chamber Orchestra (OCV) in different establishments. Similarly, emphasis has been placed on the rescue of heritage through photographic and literary contests.

Folklore has an important role in the zone, throught musical samples of  both local and regional artists to promote musical creation, specially in young people by providing spaces for its dissemination.

In the near future, the department is expecting to have a team of professionals who can contribute to heritage projects and routes, books, research and project applications.
